Bamteddy booted from Big Brother

Bambam and Teddy have become the latest housemates to be evicted from reality show Big Brother Naija Double Wahala.

Big Brother Naija Double Wahala

Host Ebuka Uchendu visited the BBNaija participants at the cultural night party on Saturday and announced the surprise eviction of Bambam, who received the fewest public votes.

Nigerians reacted to the sudden eviction with a mixture of humour, shock and disbelief, with some comparing Uchendu to Judas Iscariot for evicting one of the housemates he had mingled with earlier.

However, in a further twist during the live eviction on Sunday, it was announced that Teddy A, Bambam’s partner in the house, would also be leaving due to low votes.

Cee C and Nina were the other housemates that had been nominated for eviction.

Referring to the behaviour of the evicted couple known as ‘Bamteddy,’ Eyo Bassey, CEO of official BBNaija sponsor Payporte, tweeted: ”I hope everyone will understand and see clearly that sex and nudity does not sell on BBNaija. At Payporte we maintained this position. Compared to last season when neither sex or nudity was televised, we all can judge. I hope my fellow colleagues can get the message.

“I warned and they refused to listen. Sex doesn’t sell BBNaija, we insisted on this last season and the show was clean and shattered all records. This weekend eviction is another pointer.”

A few hours later he removed the tweet, posting a new one that read: “I noticed my previous post was misunderstood. It may have sounded offensive to some persons. It’s retracted, deleted and taken down. The primary message will be conveyed better.”

Cee C, Lolu, Alex, Miracle, Nina and Rico Swavey are up for eviction from the house this weekend.
