Listing Mauritius explores the island’s luxurious properties

UK-based BBC Studios has underscored its commitment to the African market with Listing Mauritius, a new property-themed reality series for its lifestyle channel, BBC Lifestyle.

Produced by the South African production house PD Production, the new series is currently in production. It continues the Listing franchise, following previous productions Listing Jozi in 2021 and Listing Cape Town in 2022, which aired on the BBC Lifestyle and BBC UKTV channels, both of which are available across Africa via the MultiChoice-owned DSTV pay TV platform.

Set against the backdrop of the island of Mauritius, Listing Mauritius invites BBC Lifestyle audiences to explore the luxurious properties scattered across the volcanic landscape. The 10-part series will follow a fresh ensemble of real estate agents as they navigate the intricacies of selling multi-million-dollar Mauritian homes.

The show will join BBC Lifestyle’s local African line-up in 2025, alongside the 10th season of Come Dine With Me South Africa and the third instalment of Listing Cape Town.

Pierre Cloete, commercial director at BBC Studios in Africa, said: “BBC Lifestyle offers a feast of feel-good, inspirational shows, from enticing cooking and celebrity chefs to home improvement tips and our quality line-up of local programming. I am delighted to expand our local offering with a new production, this time showcasing the luxury homes in Mauritius.”

Exec producers Nico Nel and Trevor Kaplan from PD Production added: “Having just returned from our first block of production on the island, we have been mesmerised by the beauty and splendor that Mauritius offers; in its people and in the diversity of luxury properties that we got to see.”

Viewers can catch Listing Cape Town S2 on BBC Lifestyle every Wednesday at 20.00, with new episodes available for catch-up on Thursdays at 17.00 and on DStv catch-up.
