WAP TV adds 1,000 hours of content

Nigerian entertainment channel WAP TV has acquired rights to more than 1,000 hours of Spanish, Yoruba and English TV drama series and films.

The titles, including Spanish-language telenovelas Elena’s Ghost (from Telemundo) and Missing, an adaptation of Chilean series Dónde Está Elisa?, will begin airing in HD from August 1. All content will have English subtitles.

“We equally recognise the various tastes of our different audience members and work towards their satisfaction regardless of their age, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic class and more.”

The Yoruba movies will air during WAP’s Awokogbkn slot, while English films will broadcast during its Reel Naija slot.

WAP TV is a 24-hour indigenous entertainment channel. It is available on various pay TV platforms, including DSTV (channel 262), StarTimes (channel 116), GOtv (channel 102), StarSat (channel 189), Play TV (channel 275), TSTV (channel 223) and MyTV.
