Tobi Bakre to star in Farmer’s Bride 

Nollywood actor and former Big Brother Naija finalist Tobi Bakre (Sugar Rush, Gangs of Lagos) has announced the debut of a film by FilmOne Entertainment named Farmer’s Bride.

Set in the 1980s in Ibadan, Farmer’s Bride is directed by Adebayo Tijani and Jack’enneth Opukeme and centres around a prosperous farmer (played by Femi Branch) whose life takes a sinister turn when his nephew (Bakre) and friend (Gbubemi Ejeye) conspire against him.

Bakre said: “This is a beautiful story that will leave you with all sorts of emotions.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have a masterpiece you sure will enjoy and be proud of. Think of Nollywood and you’d definitely think of this movie in the best ways possible. Stay tuned and get ready for the cinemas.”

Other cast members include Efe Irele, Mercy Aigbe, and Wunmi Toriola. The release date of the movie is yet to be announced.
