Online auditions have begun for the fourth season of singing talent show The Voice Nigeria.

Strong vocalists from across the country are invited to audition for the show, in which singers compete against each other with the hope of being crowned the winner.

The show usually unfolds in four stages. First are the blind auditions, when celebrity ‘coaches’ select singers to mentor based on voice rather than on looks. Then comes the battle round, when coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of artists, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success along with help from their celebrity advisors.

Next is the knockout stage, when each coach chooses which of their singers will advance to the next round of the competition, before the final stage – live performances.

“The Voice Nigeria is back and this season promises to bring you the best of talents, great music and, most of all, premium entertainment,” said the producers.

The Voice Nigeria S4 will be produced in partnership with British production giant ITV Studios and international record label Universal Music UK in conjunction with YouTube. It is sponsored by Airtel and First Bank of Nigeria.

The Voice Nigeria launched in 2016. The show is based on The Voice of Holland, developed and first produced by Big Brother creator John de Mol. ITV Studios later acquired de Mol’s company Talpa Media.
