The Voice Africa invites contestants

The Voice Africa, a pan-African version of the globally successful singing competition format, has started accepting registrations for its first season.

African vocalists aged 18 and above from Chad, Congo, DRC, Gabon, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia can register to be part of the show.

Seven participants will be selected from each participating country to go into the show, but there will be only one winner.

The overall winner will receive US$100,000 and a recording contract. Each of the seven selected participants from each country will also be rewarded US$5,000 and other prizes.

Filmed in Nigeria, The Voice Africa will be streamed on cable TV, free-to-air TV, YouTube, Airtel TV and on paid channels in the countries involved.
