Plans are underway to turn 2016 Nollywood movie Wives on Strike into a TV series.
Omoni Oboli, actress and director of Wives on Strike, has announced the series will launch this year, although the date and network have yet to be revealed.
The series will star Oboli as well as Toyin Abraham, Kehinde Bankole, Ufuoma McDermott, Wofai Fada, Uche Jombo, Mercy Aigbe, Sambasa Nzeribe and Kenneth Okonkwo, among others.
Wives on Strike is the eighth highest grossing Nigerian film since 2000, according to Wikipedia. Its sequel, Wives on Strike: The Revolution, premiered in London on March 9.
