WAP’s Superstory achieves its Destiny

Nigerian drama series Superstory, from Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP), has returned to screens with a new season titled Destiny.

The romantic-comedy, suspense-driven drama features Nollywood stars including Patience Ozokwo, Segun Arinze, Dele Odule, Nobert Young, Eric Obinna, Etinosa Idemudia and Kunle Coker.

“In 2022, when Superstory won the TV Drama of the Year award at the Nigeria Media Merit Awards, we promised to reward our millions of viewers by going bigger for our next project; and with this in mind, we give you Destiny,” said WAP boss Wale Adenuga.

The series airs on Thursday nights on channels including NTA Network, AIT Network, STV Network and wapTV. It is also available on  Wap TV’s YouTube channel.

Nnenna & Friends mark 10th anniversary


Popular kids’ TV show Nnenna & Friends will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend with a live event at the National Theater in Iganmu, Lagos.

Children are being encouraged to share in the fun with the cast and production team of the Wale Adenuga Productions show on Sunday May 27.

More than 3,000 guests are expected at an event featuring the likes of popular entertainer Small Doctor and comedian Jimboi.

Personalities from drama series Papa Ajasco & Company will also be present, while other entertainers include the PEFTI band, Desmond Osorebe and MC Prince.

Nnenna & Friends is a spin-off from drama series Superstory – Nnenna. The show, which focuses on educating and entertaining children, is hosted by Yinka Olukunga.

Superstory joins Silverbird TV

An award-winning drama described as Nigeria’s most watched TV series has been made available on the Silverbird TV (STV) network.

Superstory airs on Thursdays at 21.00 on the terrestrial network across the cities of Lagos, Bayelsa, Port Harcourt, Benin, Abuja, Jos and Awka.

Wale Adenuga Jnr, MD at Superstory producer Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP), said: “Our company has entertained millions of families across Nigeria for several decades and one of the things that has made this possible is our continued effort to listen to feedback and satisfy the desires of all stakeholders.

“Hence, the expansion of Superstory to STV is in line with innumerable requests from audience members across Nigeria, as well as several advertisers who have supported Superstory over the years.”

As well as the STV deal, Superstory still airs on DStv Channel 252; StarTimes 109; GOtv 92 and 192; PlayTV 804; NTA; and WapTV.
