African pay TV channel SuperSport has extended its broadcast contract with European football association UEFA for another three years for sub-Saharan Africa, including South Africa.
This deal cuts across the entire broadcast territory of sub-Saharan Africa and applies to all distribution platforms, including television, internet and mobile.
SuperSport’s new rights include the UEFA Europa Conference League, a new 32-team competition, and the UEFA Youth League.
Subscribers to MultiChoice-owned pay platform DStv will continue to see UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League coverage for a further three years, including the UEFA Europa Conference League.
