Lagos-based broadcaster Telly 4 Africa will travel to Miami in the US next January for the Natpe conference and market.
Telly 4 Africa is the parent company of TV station AwaTV, an indigenous Nigerian entertainment channel broadcast on channel 123 via pay TV platform StarTimes TV.
Bayo Adebiyi, CEO of Telly 4 Africa, aims to acquire content and explore coproduction opportunities for the company’s TV station when he joins the 5,000 executives at the event, organised by the US National Association of Television Program Executives.
Adebiyi told Content Nigeria: “One of the major reasons why Telly 4 Africa will be attending Natpe 2018 is to source new content. Also, we will be networking in the hope of moving into coproduction. Above all, we are going there to learn and exchange ideas with creative minds.”
Natpe 2018 will be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach and Eden Roc hotels from January 16 to 18, featuring 200 speakers and more than 80 exhibitors.
