Talent Sports plays eSport across Africa

Nigeria-based sports channel Talent Sports will air eSports race-driving competition the SRO E-Sport GT Series Championship live for the next three months.

Taking place every fortnight, all six rounds of the competition will air on Talent Sports, before culminating in a grand finale.

The network reaches more than 50 million homes in 70-plus countries in Africa and Europe via Viewsat, a free-to-air DTH platform owned by ViewMedia.

From its studios in Lagos, it offers content ranging from football, motorsports and tennis to athletics and mixed martial arts.

Talent Sports CEO Tolu Badejo said: “We are proud to work with SRO Motorsports Group and ViewMedia to bring the SRO E-Sport GT Series to sports fans across Africa live. These partnerships ensure Talent Sports Max viewers in over 70 countries enjoy premium sports content for free, despite impact of the Covid-19 crisis on sports events.”

“It will be a significant moment for us all, as it will be one of the only – if not the only – live sport event broadcast in the continent in the coming weeks.”
