Nigerian film director and producer Dimbo Atiya has begun production on his latest movie, titled Strong.

Strong is the sequel to the award-winning film Drawing Strength and is “a story of resilience, courage and the unbreakable human spirit,” according to the producers.

It follows a couple, played by Sophie Alakija and Chris Okagbue, whose relationship is put to the ultimate test when one is accused of the murder of a woman. Suddenly, their world crumbles around them, and they find themselves entangled in a web of suspicion and doubt.

Atiya said: “Brace yourselves as Sophie Alakija and Chris Okagbue, with an ensemble of other brilliant actors like Fadekemi Olumide-Aluko, Eva Ibiam, Ahide Adum, Edward Fom, Norah Igho and Onyiye Ezekwe, return to the screen, promising performances that will steal your heart all over again.”

Strong’s executive producers include Karachi Atiya, Dr Abiye Alamina, Dr Efe Efemini, Osa Olomu and Adaora Olomu. In 2022, Dimbo Atiya won an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for best series with the drama Halita.
