Nigerian pay TV platform StarTimes has expanded the channel line-up in its Classic bouquet at no extra cost to subscribers.
StarTimes recently confirmed the addition of five channels from the Unique bouquet to Classic. The new entertainment and movie channels are: Fox, ST Movie Plus, ST Kung Fu, ST Novella Plus and Star Plus.
The move follows an aggressive upgrade of channels on the platform, with the addition of two indigenous channels as well as the expansion of its Nigerian footprint.
Speaking about the latest upgrade, Qasim Elegbede, brand and marketing director at StarTimes Nigeria, said: “Our subscribers can consider this a new year gift from StarTimes.
“All these channels were previously exclusive to Unique bouquet subscribers, which cost about N3,800 monthly, but can now be accessed by the Classic bouquet for just N2,600.”
China-owned StarTimes TV is one of Africa’s leading pay TV platforms with more than 80 channels offering all-round entertainment for families. StarTimes also has the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2018 Fifa World Cup Russia.
