Nigerian content production company IMO Entertainment is set to launch a TV channel.
Emmanuel Enero Sunday, CEO of IMO, revealed the company will launch a 24/7 network called Sol TV.
The channel, which will focus on urban lifestyle, is expected to air on major pay TV platforms across Nigeria.
At IMO’s launch in September 2017, it unveiled TV drama series Girls Quarters and N The Hood, both of which will feature on Sol TV alongside programmes such as music videos, sports and lifestyle entertainment.
“We have covered and aired a series of events outside Nigeria, such as the One Music Festival in Dubai last year and behind-the-scenes activities during the Fifa World Cup in Russia,” said Enero Sunday.
According to the company, about 20 series are in production to air on the channel. A radio station, Sol FM, is also due to launch.
