Nollywood and European talent have combined for a new film called Shadow Parties.
The movie stars Nollywood pair Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Sola Sobowale alongside France-based duo Magdalena Korpas and Lucien Morgan (An American Werewolf in London).
Produced and directed by Nigerian filmmaker Yemi Amodu, the Media Concept Studio-sponsored title is already in post-production, having been filmed in major cities including Lagos, Ibadan, Erin Ijesha, Akure and Ekiti.
Shadow Parties focuses on a rivalry between the towns of Iludun and Aje.
“This is a story on communal clashes, like the issue of the herdsmen. We have so many issues [around] insecurity in society that need to be talked about. As a filmmaker, it’s my duty to help society,” said Amodu.
“It is not just producing a film for fun, though we have different themes in the movie. There are drama elements that are entertaining, but the story is didactic enough to teach morality and expose the evil involved in communal clashes.
“Movie lovers should watch out for a very good movie with a twisting plot and an enriched production.”
Also featuring in the movie are other Nollywood stars including Yemi Blaq, Segun Arinze, Sola Kosoko, Hafiz Oyetoro and Jide Kosoko.
Shadow Parties is set to be released in cinemas after being exhibited at major international film festivals across the world.
