The governing council of the IoDN bestowed Abudu with an IoDN Fellowship Award and Entrepreneurial Award at the event on December 6, the first time the institute has presented two awards to one person.

On receiving the awards, Abudu said: “It is indeed an honour to be part of an elite group of business innovators and game-changers.

“Tonight we celebrate entrepreneurs, the backbone of our economic prosperity and growth. When we started EbonyLife TV & Films, it was our goal to inspire the next generation of visionaries and this honour is a testament that you can achieve your goals with resilience, a positive outlook and a can-do attitude.”

The IoDN Entrepreneurial Award is given to entrepreneurs who have shown great potential, excellent business acumen and leadership prowess, attaining acclaimed success both locally and internationally over the years.

Other awardees at the exclusive event were Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra state, and Aliko Dangote.

The award was presented to Abudu on the eve of the premiere of The Wedding Party 2, a movie coproduced by EbonyLife Films.
