Maltavator Challenge Nigeria finalists named

Maltavator Challenge’s Nigerian audition finale

Six national finalists have been chosen to represent Nigeria in season two of pan-African gameshow Maltavator Challenge, organised by drinks company Malta Guinness.

The show will see contestants from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroun, Cote D’Ivoire and Ethiopia will compete in mentally and physically challenging obstacle courses for a chance to win $20,000 and other prizes.

The Nigerian audition finale took place on December 8 at the the Teslim Balogun stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Following auditions in Ibadan, Enugu, Abuja, Benin and Lagos, 20 regional finalists were selected, after which the final six emerged to represent team Nigeria in Maltavator Challenge.

The six finalists are Melvin Enoch (from Lagos), Leo Obienyi (Abuja), Abdullahi Azabo Ibrahim (Abuja), Ogechukwu Eudora (Lagos), Michael Uhiene (Abuja) and Otobong Idoresit (Lagos).

Ifeoma Agu, senior brand manager of premium non-alcoholic drinks at Malta Guinness,  said: “The journey to the grand finale of the Maltavator challenge auditions for season two has been exciting, energy-packed and very rewarding to contestants as well as to Malta Guinness.

“We set out to immerse our loyal consumers in an experience that brings to life how Malta Guinness fuels the greatness of Nigerians through a physically and mentally challenging obstacle course experience across five states – Ibadan, Benin, Enugu, Abuja and Lagos.

Maltavator Challenge season two will air next year on major TV stations across Nigeria and participating African countries.

Maltavator Challenge comes to Lagos

A US$20,000 prize is on offer to the winner of Maltavator Challenge

Pan-African gameshow Maltavator Challenge, organised by Nigerian beverage company Malta Guinness, is set to take place in Lagos on December 1 at the National Stadium, Surulere.

Following auditions in Ibadan, Enugu, Abuja and Benin, the second season of the show will have its final auditions in the city of Lagos.

Contestants from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast and Ethiopia will compete for a chance to win US$20,000 and other prizes in various mental and physical challenges and games.

The Maltavator Challenge is in search of contestants that are strong, fast and smart, who will join winners from the previous auditions to battle it out at the grand finale for the final spots on Team Nigeria.

Aspiring contestants – known as Maltavators – should arrive at the venue by 7am dressed in their sport gear to tackle the obstacle games.
