LindaIkeji TV auditions for reality show

Webcaster LindaIkeji TV (LITV) is seeking eligible single women to participate in the first season of its new reality show Hottest Bachelor Nigeria later this year.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Bobai Bally Balat, aka Bally, will be the bachelor looking to select a wife. “I am looking for not just love but a special woman I can share the rest of my life with,” he said.

Twenty-five lucky ladies who are looking for love and possibly a life partner will compete with the hope of winning the heart of the hottest bachelor. Auditions are in progress and take place at the LITV offices in Lekki, Lagos.

Although the start date of the show has not yet been officially announced, it will start airing in 2018. LITV has more than 40 programmes and exclusive shows, including Gidi Girls, Oyinbo Wives of Lagos and Highway Girls of Eko.

Ikeji readies reality show

LindaIkeji TV is preparing to launch a reality show that has been compared to hit format Big Brother.

Made in Gidi will see 12 contestants living together in a house but, unlike Big Brother, there will be no evictions and no winner.

LindaIkeji TV CEO Linda Ikeji said the show would feature “seven ladies and five young men all living in the same house. No phone, no laptop, no internet. No voting, no eviction, no winner. You’ve never seen anything like it. This is Lagos to the world.”

An airdate has yet to be confirmed but the show is expected to premiere on LindaIkeji TV soon.

Earlier this year, Ikeji confirmed other forthcoming reality shows including Gidi Girls, King Tonto, Oyinbo Wives of Lagos and Ajegunle with Love.

LindaIkeji TV is wrapping production on its latest female-focused reality show, which will premiere on the web TV platform this Friday.

Girls Squad: Life After Uni

Girls Squad: Life After Uni  follows the lives of six women who have recently graduated from top private universities in Nigeria: Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo and Covenant University in Otta.

The series depicts life after graduation for the six participants and all the challenges that accompany them when they eventually enter the real world.

The group have to learn from their mistakes, join the hustle of everyday life and try to make it work along the way. The show is intended to teach the importance of hard work and perseverance.

Girls Squad: Life After Uni has Linda Ikeji, CEO of LindaIkeji TV, as its executive producer, and the show is exclusive to LindaIkeji TV.

The show, produced by Folasade Adu, can be accessed by signing up for Lindaikejitv online or by downloading an app.

LindaIkeji TV teases reality show

Web-based video channel LindaIkeji TV has released a trailer for forthcoming reality show Ajegunle With Love.

The original series will follow the lives of people born and bred in Ajegunle, a neighbourhood in Lagos. According to the network, Ajegunle With Love will focus on the drama, intrigue, poverty and hard work to be found in the town.

Joining the long list of reality programmes heading for the network this year, Ajegunle With Love will show the daily hustle of five individuals: singer Sunny Boy, barber Valiant, bar owner and security guard Jairo, footballer Lucia, and Harris, a graduate of Lagos State University and a teacher.

Ajegunle With Love is exclusive to LindaIkeji TV, is produced by Odega Shawa and has Linda Ikeji, CEO of LindaIkeji TV, as its creative and executive producer. Its release date has yet to be announced.

Other reality TV shows lined up to launch this year on LindaIkeji TV are Gidi Girls, King Tonto and Oyinbo Wives of Lagos. Linda Ikeji, one of the biggest bloggers in Nigeria, launched her web video channel in 2016.

Ikeji readies reality original

Blogger and media entrepreneur Linda Ikeji is bringing an original reality show to Nigerian TV schedules in 2018, reports Gabriella Opara.

Oyinbo Wives of Lagos will launch next year

Oyinbo Wives of Lagos will focus on the lives of six Lagos-based women who are married to white men (aka oyinbo).

Its creators promise a dramatic, funny and entertaining show that gives viewers the chance to see the ups and downs of the friendship between these women and what their lives revolve around.

The cast and the official release date of the show have not yet been officially announced. However, Ikeji announced via her blog and on Instagram that Oyinbo Wives of Lagos will launch sometime in 2018 via her online TV network, LindaIkeji TV, as well as pay TV platform DStv and YouTube.

Exec produced by Ikeji, directed by Samari Daniel and produced by Eloho Okumo, Oyinbo Wives of Lagos will join other LindaIkeji TV originals including Report Card, Black Room and Hot Topics with Latasha Ngwube.

LindaIkeji TV is also licensing ready-made content to add to its line-up of  drama series, reality shows and talkshows.
