The Nigerian Television Authority has awarded broadcasting rights to the 32nd African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to Nigeria’s HS Media Group for its HotSports network.
This year’s edition of the AFCON in Egypt will run from June 21 to July 19. It will be aired on terrestrial television channels throughout Nigeria and watched by billions of TV viewers in the continent and around the world.
The deal will be concluded with Nigerian Television Authority at a signing ceremony in Abuja.
Taye Ige, CEO of HS Media Group, said: “Nigerian football fans will have four weeks of uninterrupted fun watching the matches on TV.
“HotSports will deploy all its marketing and technical competencies acquired over the years to give Nigerian lovers of the beautiful game the most fulfilling and relaxing AFCON as they cheer the Super Eagles to victory in Egypt.”
HotSports will broadcast all 52 matches from the group stage to the final.
