Nollywood romantic film Big Love and murder-mystery movie Hotel Labamba, both produced by Nigerian filmmaker Biodun Stephen, will be released in cinemas over the next five weeks.
Big Love will hit the big screen in Nigeria on June 28, while Hotel Labamba is set to premiere on July 28.
Big Love follows two young and ambitious individuals who find themselves deeply entwined in a passionate love affair after crossing paths at a graduate training camp. However, their relationship faces imminent jeopardy as a colossal secret threatens to unravel everything they hold dear.
Produced by Lagos-based The Weddding Party producer Inkblot Productions, the film stars Bimbo Ademoye, Timini Egbuson, Teniola Aladese, Shaffy Bello and Kalu Ikeagwu.
Stephen said: “I wrote the sweetest love story. It’s called Big Love. I and the amazing Inkblot Productions team are truly honoured to share this beautiful story of love with you guys come June 28… I am certain you will be all warm fuzzy when you see this.”
Hotel Labamba, meanwhile, follows the mysterious murder of a popular Instagram influencer in the titular hotel. Created by Stephen alongside Laide Daramola, its cast includes Adedimeji Lateef, Bimbo Ademoye, Blessing Jessica and Bolaji Ogunmola.
“Hotel Lambaba stands out in all aspects and everyone needs to look forward to it. I am equally very excited about it and for everyone to see the magic we’ve made,” Stephen said.
