Nigerian contemporary music and lifestyle channel Hip TV has been added to the line-up of entertainment channels on pay TV platform Kwesé TV.
Available on channel 610, the youth-focused net joins a bouquet of exclusive entertainment channels on Kwesé TV. This includes Box TV, Trace Africa, Trace Gospel, Trace Mziki and Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs’ music channel Revolt TV.
Hip TV, owned by Smooth Promotions CEO Ayo Animashaun, is known for its exclusive interviews with Nigerian celebrities, entertainment news and red carpet moments.
Speaking about the addition of Hip TV, Elizabeth Amkpa, Kwesé TV Nigeria’s general manager, said: “Kwesé TV is Afrocentric and youthful so we are happy to have Hip TV, a home-grown channel for a youthful audience, on our platform.”
“Whether you are in the mood for the distinctly Naija beat, hip hop, R&B or gospel from around the world, you will find them all on Kwesé TV.”
Hip TV adds to the varied list of more than 70 channels that are carried by Kwesé TV, which is part of Econet Media. The Hip TV channel is also carried on Multichoice’s DStv platform.
