Novelist and social change advocate Tunde Leye is preparing a big-screen adaptation of his 2012 blog series Finding Hubby, which is due to hit cinemas this November.

The movie will explore themes of friendship, love and finding happiness in oneself. It follows the story of a 35-year-old single woman and her friends’ journey of self-discovery amidst the hustle and bustle of Lagos. The trio embark on an adventure of kissing many frogs in an attempt to find their prince.
Femi Ogunsanwo, producer and director of the film, said: “The cast and crew of the movie have been carefully selected to ensure that the viral story is retold on video without losing any of the elements that made it a fan favourite.
“It was a most exhilarating experience creating a movie out of this story that was followed by over two million people online and on radio. I can’t wait for fans to see what will definitely be the most talked about movie this year.”
Ogunsanwo is behind successful movies such as Ojukokoro, Knockout Blessing, Jeneji and Ajoche. The movie adaptation of Finding Hubby will be distributed by Genesis Film Distribution.
