Director, producer and filmmaker Esther Gbadamosi won the award for Best Stop Motion Animation at the sixth edition of the Lagos International Festival of Animation (Lifanima), which took place this week.
Gbadamosi’s stop-motion short film Prepared to Die was selected out of more than 136 films that were screened during the event.
“We dedicate this award to all our military personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country safe. Congratulations to everyone who lost sleep to make this happen,” Gbadamosi said on Instagram.
Lifanima is one of Africa’s biggest animation festivals. According to its organisers, the event provides a platform for animators to interact with other stakeholders for optimum value creation and rapid growth of the animation industry.
