Period drama film Elesin Oba (The King’s Horseman) is set to debut on global streaming platform Netflix on November 4.
Adapted from 1975 play Death & the King’s Horseman, the story focuses on one man’s lustful desires and another man’s interference with a long-held custom.
The screenplay was written by Biyi Bandele. The cast includes Odunlade Adekola, Shaffy Bello, Olawale ‘Brymo’ Olofooro and Deyemi Okanlawon.
The King’s Horseman is a coproduction between Netflix and Nigeria’s EbonyLife.
Mo Abudu, CEO of EbonyLife, said the film will premiere in various cinemas across Nigeria including EbonyLife, Filmhouse, Genesis and VIVA in Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and Akure.
