Big Brother winner Olamilekan Agbeleshe, aka Laycon
Olamilekan Agbeleshe, also known as Laycon, has been declared the winner of the fifth edition of reality TV show Big Brother Naija: Lockdown.
The series began on Africa Magic channel on July 19 and held virtual auditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Out of 30,000 contestants, 20 finalists were selected to enter the Big Brother house. Laycon took home the grand prize of N85m.
BBNaija S5 was hosted by TV presenter and former housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. The show is based on the reality format owned by Banijay subsidiary Endemol Shine Group and aired on Africa Magic channel.
Reality TV fans in Nigeria are keenly awaiting the return of the reality TV show that started the genre, Big Brother, the third season of which launches tomorrow.

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will kick off on January 28 with 12 contestants. It will air 24 hours daily on MultiChoice’s pay TV platform DSTV channel 198 and DTT service GOtv channel 29.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a housemate from the first season in 2006, is the host of the highly anticipated show, which has an SUV and N45 million of prizes for the winners.

Excitement for the third season has been stoked not only by the auditions held around the country but also the airing of reunion episodes featuring housemates from the previous season in 2017.
The BBNaija reunion show premiered on Saturday, January 20 and continues to air daily on DSTV channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 until tonight. Highlights of previous episodes have also been aired.
The third season of BBNaija airs from tomorrow at 7pm.
