Reality TV fans in Nigeria are keenly awaiting the return of the reality TV show that started the genre, Big Brother, the third season of which launches tomorrow.
Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will kick off on January 28 with 12 contestants. It will air 24 hours daily on MultiChoice’s pay TV platform DSTV channel 198 and DTT service GOtv channel 29.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, a housemate from the first season in 2006, is the host of the highly anticipated show, which has an SUV and N45 million of prizes for the winners.
“Without a doubt, this promises to be the most exciting edition of the Big Brother franchise on the African continent,” commented Martin Mabutho, general manager, sales and marketing for MultiChoice Nigeria.
“The last edition of Big Brother Naija was incredibly successful and we see just how much the show continues to resonate with fans in Nigeria and around the continent,” he added.
“We can hardly wait for Sunday, and we guarantee not only that our viewers will enjoy the premiere show, but that they will stay tuned for three months until the show’s finale when the winner is revealed.”
Excitement for the third season has been stoked not only by the auditions held around the country but also the airing of reunion episodes featuring housemates from the previous season in 2017.
The BBNaija reunion show premiered on Saturday, January 20 and continues to air daily on DSTV channel 198 and GOtv channel 29 until tonight. Highlights of previous episodes have also been aired.
The third season of BBNaija airs from tomorrow at 7pm.
