Production has begun on a South African dating show called Dating #NoFilter.

Produced by Johannesburg-based Brainstorm Entertainment, the comedy dating show will debut exclusively on E! Entertainment Africa on pay TV platform DStv later this year. E! Entertainment is owned by US studio NBCUniversal, part owner of African streamer Showmax.

Dating #NoFilter will feature a group of singles going on blind dates, with their search for love accompanied by commentary from South African celebrities. Among the 15-member comedic cast are comedian, TV personality and actor Jason Goliath, plus actors and media personalities Hope Mhbele and Lebogang Tlokana, who is also known as The Funny Chef.

“There’s a new baby in town. Can’t wait for you to see what we have been cooking with E! Entertainment Africa,” Mhbele said.
