Ivorian feminist artist Laetitia Ky is among the stars of Disco Boy, a European drama film coproduction that premiered in Berlin this week.

Disco Boy depicts the intertwined stories a young Belarusian on the run from a past he must bury, a member of the French Foreign Legion, and a guerrilla fighter in a village in the Niger Delta.

The film is directed by Giacomo Abbruzzese abd produced by Films Grand Huit. As well as Laetitia Ky, it stars Morr Ndiaye, Laëtitia Ky, Leon Lučev and Matteo Olivetti.

“Disco Boy, from Giacomo Abbruzzese ,is my second movie as an actress and is competing at the Berlin International Film Festival. Your girl is a movie star,” Laetitia Ky said on Instagram.

Disco Boy had its premiere on February 19 as part of the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival. The film is scheduled to be released in Italy on March 15 and in French cinemas on April 5.
