Agemo, a supernatural thriller film from Nigerian director Moshood Abiola Obatula, is set to debut next year.
Agemo is written by Esther Olayinka, directed by Obatula and coproduced by Adewale Obatula, Oluwashina Olanrewaju and Saheed Busari.
In the film, a young woman decodes cryptic messages from a mysterious old lady within a haunted house, and stumbles upon dark secrets from her town’s past.
The narrative delves into the themes of manipulation, power dynamics and the repercussions of exploiting vulnerable individuals. It brings attention to issues like manipulation, secrecy and the exploitation of the less privileged by those in authoritative positions, exposing concealed agendas within contemporary society.
