The Kwara House of Assembly has called for Abdulfatai Adebowale, general manager of Kwara State Television Authority (KWTV), to be sacked after he was indicted for unprofessional conduct and maladministration.
According to a report by the Committee on lnformation, Youth, Sports and Culture, cases of sexual harassment, illegal sales of station’s land and other misconducts were established against Adebowale. The Assembly has called for a new general manager to be appointed in his place.
House speaker Danladi Yakubu-Salihu read the resolution and urged Kwara State governor AbdulRazaq to immediately relieve Adebowale of his position as KWTV boss since he was unable to exonerate himself from most of the allegations.
“In view of the unprofessional conduct and maladministration against the general manager, this honourable house hereby resolve and urge the Kwara State governor to relieve him of his post and appoint a new general manager,” Yakubu-Salihu said.
