StarTimes receives GFA commendation
Chinese-owned digital terrestrial TV company StarTimes has been applauded by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for successfully covering the Ghana premier league games so far.
GFA president Kurt Okraku commended the pay TV company for the improvement in its coverage as well as having a strong African presence of the league games during the 2019/20 season.
He said: “Discussions are underway with the national broadcaster and other TV stations in the country to make them partners in broadcasting the games, via the StarTimes channel.”
A five-year agreement has been signed with StarTimes giving it the rights to broadcast live matches of the Ghanaian premier league as well as broadcast selected matches of the first division league and the women’s football league.
