Silverbird, Arise News take home NBAs

The Nigeria Broadcasting Awards (NBAs) ceremony, held at the Eko Convention Center in Lagos, saw a number of African television stations honoured in different categories.

Silverbird Television received the Best Television Show in an indigenous language for its programme Jankara Market. Additionally, Victory Wilson from Silverbird Television was named TV Presenter of the Year.

Arise News was honoured with the award for TV Station of the Year, while Ruth Aguele from the Nigerian Television Authority was named Newscaster of the Year.

Law & Order: Trust TV won the award for Best Television Show in the English language, while Ogiame Atuwatse III: The Making of a King, produced by NDNTV, received the award for Best Television Production in the documentary/feature category.

The NBAs are the broadcasting industry’s gold standard award platform that recognises and rewards professional excellence and impact on society.
