A reality show aimed at identifying, training and mentoring young Nigerians into becoming ‘agripreneurs’ has begun accepting participant applications.

Made in collaboration with the Bank of Industry and other organisations with agricultural interests, The FarmHouse is seeking unemployed Nigerian graduates aged between 21 and 45 who want to start their own agriculture-related businesses.

The 90-day show will bring 50 housemates under one roof where they will be lectured, mentored, given various tasks and trained to run their own businesses.

Auditions and selection will take place across six major Nigerian cities. To participate, click here.

“The FarmHouse is a comprehensive agriculture training, advocacy and mentoring programme delivered on an entertainment platform,” said a statement on the show’s website.

“Our objective is to stimulate, create awareness and redirect the attention of the youthful population of Nigeria to the tremendous potential and opportunities in agriculture, using entertainment as a delivery channel.”

The winner of the show will be awarded N10m. Audition dates have yet to be announced.
