Real Housewives Durban S4

African streamer Showmax will launch season four of its Durban-based adaptation of US reality franchise Real Housewives on February 9.

Produced by Cape Town-based Let It Rain Films, the show provides viewers with a peek into the opulent lifestyles of affluent women residing in South Africa.

Cast includes returning housewives Nonku Williams, Sorisha Naidoo, Jojo Robinson, Maria Valaskatzis and Slindile Wendy Ndlovu, while new housewives include Ameigh Sibahle Thompson, Nqobile ‘Angel’ Ndlela and Zamaswazi Ngcobo.

Sam Kelly, executive producer at Let It Rain Films, said: “The new season of The Real Housewives of Durban is going to be bigger and better. We have the OGs you have come to know and love and we have three new women who are going to bring something different to the franchise.

“Over the past seasons, we have been aiming to tell stories that audiences relate to. The essence of the show is real and that is why viewers fall in love with these women, because they can see themselves in their personal stories, journeys, triumphs and struggles.”

Internationally, The Real Housewives format is distributed by NBCUniversal Formats, a division of Universal International Studios under Universal Studio Group, and is the longest-running The Real Housewives franchise in Africa.

Other versions of the reality format have been produced in other African cities such as Johannesburg, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja, Gqeberha, Cape Town, Pretoria and the Winelands of South Africa.

Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Durban is currently being streamed across 45 countries including Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
