Ntshavheni named SA comms minister

Khumbudzo Ntshavheni has been named as the new minister of communications and digital technologies by the presidency of the republic of South Africa.

Ntshavheni takes over from Stella-Ndabeni Abrahams, who had been in the position for two-and-a-half years.

Before taking her new position,  Ntshavheni had been South Africa’s minister of small business development since May 2019.  She had also been acting minister of planning, monitoring and evaluation since January this year.

Ntshavheni started her career as a junior lecturer at the University of South Africa and then proceeded to be South Africa’s youngest and first female spokesperson for a premier (Premier Ramatlhodi).

She holds an MBA degree from Bradford University in the UK and has experience in strategic management, information technology, change management, and communication and marketing.
