Nora Awolowo unveils movie Red Circle

Nora Awolowo, creative director at Lagos-based production company Rixel Studios, has unveiled a movie titled Red Circle.

Red Circle is produced by Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) winner Awolowo, written by Abdul Tijani-Ahmed and directed by AMVCA nominee Akay Mason. The action thriller has the tagline ‘No one is untouchable.’

Although little has been revealed about the film, the cast includes iconic actor Bukky Wright, back from retirement, as well as Folu Storms, Timini Egbuson, Tobi Bakre, Lateef Adedimeji, Chief Femi Branch and Omowumi Dada.

Awolowo said: “You asked for Bukky Wright, my job was to make it happen! Two years ago, I told Abdul Tijani-Ahmed I had an idea, several months of fleshing it with the best company of people. Red Circle is coming.

“Dreams come true, and this is one of my most ambitious dream. From ideation to execution this has taken tears, blood and laughter. My favourite thing about this is getting to do this with some of my favourite people in the world. Grateful for the exciting cast that bought into my idea and dreams.”

Last year, Awolowo won the best documentary award at the AMVCAs for her football-related film Nigeria: The Debut, produced by FIFA+ Original Productions.
