Niyi Akinmolayan teases fantasy movie
Nigerian producer and filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan has announced the production of his new kids’ fantasy movie titled Mikolo.
The film was shot in Ondo state in Nigeria, via Akinmolayan’s production company Anthill Studios, and explores themes related to family, friendship, societal values and love for animals.
Akinmolayan said: “If you believe in impossible things long enough, they become possible! Believe the impossible. I can tell you all really want to see Mikolo!!! I can’t even wait to share the film with you. It’s our most ambitious project yet and the entire world will see and know that Nollywood rocks.”
“I thought the world of possibilities only existed in Hollywood, because their film makers tell stories of possibilities, especially involving and carrying children along. Now, I believe it only takes one person to see the light and choose to walk it differently,” added Adeniyi Oluwapamilerin, one of the actors in the movie.
“Niyi Akinmolayan, Anthill Studios and the entire team, thank you for starting a journey of possibilities, involving the free minds of children and re-emphasising the importance of family bond.”
Other cast members include Yvonne Jegede, Binta Ayo Mogaji and Fiyinfoluwa Asenuga. The movie will hit cinema screens very soon.
