Netflix to launch next Kandasamys film

Global streaming platform Netflix will launch the third instalment of South Africa’s popular Kandasamys comedy movie franchise on June 4.

Trippin’ With the Kandasamys follows Keeping Up With the Kandasamys and Kandasamys: The Wedding. Keeping Up With the Kandasamys debuted in 2017 and was the first South African Indian film to be screened widely in theatres in South Africa, while Kandasamys: The Wedding was released in 2018.

In Trippin’ With the Kandasamys, best friends-turned-in-laws Shanthi and Jennifer plan a couples’ getaway, but it comes with all kinds of surprises. The film is directed by Jayan Moodley and stars actors including Jailoshini Naidoo, Maeshni Naicker, Madhushan Singh, Mishgah Parthiephal.
