Netflix to debut South African thriller

A South African thriller movie I Am All Girls is set to premiere on global streaming platform Netflix.

The film, about a sex-trafficking syndicate operating in South Africa, will arrive on Netflix on May 14.

Directed by Donovan Marsh, I Am All Girls is based on real events that unfolded in South Africa in the 1980s in the final days of the apartheid era.

The film is produced by South African production house Nthibah Pictures with producers Simon Swart, Wayne Fitzjohn, Jozua Malherbe and Lucia Mayer-Marais.

It stars Erica Wessels as a special crimes investigator who teams up with a police officer, played by Hlubi Mboya. Together, the two work to take down a human-trafficking ring that enjoys the support of some powerful people.

As well as Wessels and Mboya, the cast includes Deon Lotz, Brandon Daniels, Mothusi Magano, Masasa Mbangeni and Nomvelo Makhanya.
