Netflix takes on Okpaleke’s Blood Vessel
Global streaming platform Netflix has announced the debut of Nigerian film producer Charles Okpaleke’s film Blood Vessel.
Blood Vessel is a survival thriller from Okpaleke and his Play Network Studios. In the film, six people flee a town devastated by oil pollution and stow away on a mysterious ship, not realising the dangers that await.
Written by Musa Jeffrey David and produced by Roxanne Adekunle-Wright, Fafa Bello Osagie and Agozie Ugwu, the film stars David Ezekiel, Adaobi Dibor and Jide Kene Achufusi.
Blood Vessel is the latest movie to be produced by Play Network Studios since Okpaleke’s partnership with Namibia’s Mondjila Studios for the film The Skeleton Coast.
Blood Vessel will debut on December 8 and is one of several new titles in the pipeline at Play Network Studios. Others include Glamour Girl, Hijack 93, The Six, Diamond Ring, King Jaja of Opodo and Shina Rambo.
