Abuja-based Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) has revealed the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) will soon embark on creating innovation hubs in six geo-political zones in the country.

Having trained no fewer than 200 teachers from Niger State last year, DBI president and CEO Mohammed Ajiya said the hubs will be specifically used for the training of teachers and pupils at the grassroots level.

“In each of the geo-political zones, the NCC will very soon be sponsoring creation of innovation hubs where we can use those hubs as much as possible to harness needed talent.

“Very soon, we are going to start talent leadership training, where we are going teach out-of-school pupils and see how to harness their talents, how to become the next Bill Gates,” he said.

He encouraged teachers to improve their knowledge of digital technology and also urged the state government to avail themselves of the training being sponsored by the NCC at the DBI.
