Mip Africa set for Cape Town next month
Mip Africa, a new business-to-business market for film, television and digital content production and distribution in Africa, is slated to be held from August 24 to 26 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Part of FAME Week Africa, the event is being organised by FX Africa and is part of the group of trade fairs that includes Mipcom and MipTV in France, MipCancun in Mexico and Mip China.
Mip Africa is on the lookout for African creatives, producers and distributors to take part in the annual content market at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The event aims to bring together the major creative economies, namely film, television and animation, as well as music and entertainment technology.
According to the organisers, it will be an opportunity to promote brands and content, learn more about the latest trends shaping the content industry, meet other professionals and expand international networks.
There will be discussions on African women in the film and television industry, one-on-one meetings, pitch platforms, content sessions, film premieres and exclusive screenings.
There will also be meetings between distributors, producers and African buyers and commissioners to support programmes, sales and coproduction partnerships. To register, click here.
