MBC MENA renews pact with Paramount

MBC Group in the Middle East and North Africa has renewed its licensing deal with Paramount Global Content Distribution for Nickelodeon programming for a further three years.
Under the pact, children’s channel MBC3 will have the first free-to-air run in the region for a minimum of 350 episodes of Nickelodeon shows per year. Streamer Shahid will also get a minimum of 350 episodes.
Nickelodeon programmes for MBC3 include recent seasons of Paw Patrol, The Loud House, SpongeBob SquarePants and Blaze & the Monster Machines, as well as new series The Patrick Star Show, Middlemost Post and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Shows for Shahid include Dora the Explorer, Shimmer & Shine, The Loud House and Bubble Guppies in English and French. The renewed partnership also includes licensing and merchandising rights to Nickelodeon characters.
