The new company will operate in TV production and broadcasting, radio and digital offering M6 content, said the group CEO Nicolas de Tavernost.

Since acquiring Lagardère’s TV business for €215m, M6 aims to expand and develop its activities internationally, leveraging the global distribution expertise of its TV business.

M6 now owns Lagardère’s DTT, kids and pay TV channels broadcasting in French-speaking Africa, the Middle East and Russia.

The deal will be finalised by the end of July by French TV regulator the CSA as soon as it is approved by the French competition authority.

M6 Group has invested €450m in acquisitions including radio station RTL France as part of its strategy to become a multimedia business.
