M-Net picks up 40 hours from All3Media

African pay TV broadcaster MultiChoice has acquired more than 40 hours of scripted and unscripted content for its flagship channel M-Net from All3Media International.
Headlining the unscripted shows is Highlife (4×60’), Optomen Television’s reality series following a generation of young, influential, trailblazing West African Brits living in London.
Also in unscripted is Story Films’ Fever Pitch: The Battle for the Premier League, which tells the story of how English football was transformed from a sport into a business overnight.
In scripted, M-Net has picked up Russell T Davies’ hit drama It’s a Sin for its streaming service Showmax. From Red Productions, the five-part series follows a group of friends as they grow up in 1980s Britain in the shadow of AIDS.
Further scripted shows include Drama Republic’s six-part epic Western The English; Two Brothers Pictures’ six-part thrillers The Tourist and Angela Black; season one of Great Southern Television’s supernatural crime drama One Lane Bridge (6×60’); Hartswood Films’ thriller The Control Room (3×60’); and Story Films’ thriller Witness Number 3 (4×60’).
