Isiphetho: Destiny calls on E.tv

South African commercial free-to-air television station E.tv has unveiled its latest primetime telenovela, Isiphetho: Destiny.

Isiphetho: Destiny is set in the heart of Soweto and follows four friends who navigate the complexities of life in the community of Mzimhlope.

Bound by a life-altering secret from their teenage years, these individuals – now in their 30s – embark on a transformative endeavour to rejuvenate their community and reshape their destinies. They open an innovative restaurant aimed at bringing unique culinary delights to the township.

The cast includes Gugu Gumede, Linda Sokhulu, Mjosti Mbhele and Mbalenhle Mavimbela. Produced by Johannesburg-based Black Brain Pictures, the drama will start airing on E.tv from 8 April.
