DStv launches movie feature

African pay TV operator DStv has introduced a new feature tagged Add Movies, which allows subscribers to top-up their current movie offering.

The feature enables subscribers to the Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access packages to see extra movies available on channels M-Net Movies 1 and M-Net Movies 2. It also includes movies on holiday pop-up channel FliekNet, which showcases locally produced blockbuster movies, classic favourites and a variety of Afrikaans film for an additional R99 (US$6) per month.

Some of the movies include Terminator Dark Fate (2019), Rambo Last Blood (2019), Playing With Fire (2019) and Fiela se Kind (2019).

Yolisa Phahle, chief executive of general entertainment and connected video at MultiChoice Group, noted that Add Movies was developed in response to customers’ appetite and interests.
“It remains our priority to give customers both choice and value. Add Movies firmly delivers on both scores, with a wide variety of quality movie content at a compelling price,” she said.

Add Movies is available for existing subscribers to add to their packages, or on sign-up for new subscribers.
