The show, produced by Lagos-based Rising Star Power House, is designed to empower up-and-coming music acts and to showcase their creativity through the talent of other established musicians’ original productions.

“Can you turn an original song to your song, by adding your voice, charisma, style and creativity? Then this is where you should be. We are in search for Next Covers Star,” the producers said.

Covers Africa will be hosted by former Big Brother Naija housemate Bamike, also known as BamBam, who said: “Can your cover make us forget the original? Then it’s time for your voices to be heard. Sing your way to stardom as Covers Africa returns with juicy prizes for singers.”

According to the producers, the show’s strategic partners include DKK, Films House Cinema and television platform TSTV. The 13-week show will be aired and publicised across major media channels in Africa, said Rising Star Power House.
