Canon debuts African Visionaries series
Imaging technology and services company Canon Central & North Africa (CCNA) has launched an interview series called African Visionaries across the continent.
The show highlights the talent, achievements and impact of everyday people in Africa who have pushed boundaries and emerged as distinct voices of their generation.
These change-makers include Nigerian comedian Alibaba Akpobome, Kenyan environmentalist Nzambi Matee and Egyptian fashion designer Hany El-Behairy.
Akpobome, who is credited with bringing Nigerian comedy into the limelight, revealed how perseverance, dedication and hard work contributed to his rise to the top. Matee, who is a leader in the global quest for sustainability, is a pioneer in recycling plastic waste into low-cost, durable plastic bricks. El-Behairy is renowned for his haute couture creations and use of luxurious fabrics and embellishments.
CCNA said in a statement: “The time has come. We can’t contain our excitement anymore. We are now sharing with you our change makers, African Visionaries of 2022.”
