The 12-stage competition is a test of strength, agility, power, endurance and fitness and sees four contestants from each of the 54 African countries compete over a series of obstacles.

Each stage will represent 12 ancient African empires, such as the Benin, Ghanaian, Malian, Songhai and Carthaginian empires, and will determine what it took for an individual to qualify to be a warrior in those times.

Fitness instructors, athletes or anyone into sports who has what it takes to become the Ultimate Africa Empire Warrior in any of Africa’s ancient empires can click here for details on how to enter.

Tiah Knox, ASVG’s head of production, based in New Jersey, said: “This is a show that will showcase the past glory of Africa and help people develop a new perspective of Africa and its rich history.”

The first season will be shot on location in Liberia while the series will be shown through local broadcast partners as well as streaming platforms, which are yet to be disclosed.

The show is in partnership with the ministry of culture of Liberia, Canadian digital music company Hitlab, which will supply the soundtrack of the show, and Slovenia-based Sky Scout, which will provide its AI-operated cameras for the production.

The launch date of the show has yet to be announced.
