AfroLandTV adds nine new channels
Africa-themed North American AVoD streaming platform AfrolandTV has added nine new channels to its service following an agreement with Canada’s FAST Channels TV.
NBCUniversal-backed AfrolandTV said the partnership would bolster its offering and its mission to become the “Pluto TV of black entertainment,” referring to the successful Paramount-owned streamer.
The new channels are entertainment-focused Feva TV; African music channel 4AceTV Afrobeat; lifestyle, fashion and reality channel R2TV; gospel-inspired entertainment and lifestyle TV channel X2DTV; family-orientated channel Teen Africa; Afrobeat-focused AMusic; contemporary Nollywood film and TV show channel Afrorevo 1; comedy skit channel A-Z Mark Angel Comedy; and factual offering Yebo.live.
“With the holiday season upon us, there is no better way to celebrate than watching diverse authentic Black movies and TV. From music and dance to comedy and drama, there is something for everyone to enjoy,” said AfrolandTV in a statement.
“African movies are some of the most diverse and interesting stories in the world, whether told around a campfire or passed down generations through cinematic excellence. Global audiences are now more receptive to African movies.”
